01 / THE MOMENT IT CLICKS

There’s a photograph
only you can see.

The light across a mountain. Your kid mid-laugh. A street coming alive after dark.

You reach for your camera because you want to keep that feeling. Then the settings get in the way. The subject blurs. The light disappears. The photo doesn’t quite say what you meant.

Photography In Focus gives you a way through. Understand the settings, practise on the things you love, and get feedback on the photographs you actually make. Little by little, your camera starts to feel like an extension of your eye.

02 / HOW YOU GET THERE

A little guidance.
A lot of discovery.

A practical rhythm you can fit around your life. Plan for roughly 2–3 hours a week, with lessons you can pause, replay, and come back to.

01

Watch it click.

Short, step-by-step lessons make the settings make sense. Course notes, quick reference sheets, and camera guides keep the essentials close.

02

Take it outside.

Pick up your camera and try a weekly exercise. Photograph your people, your neighbourhood, your everyday discoveries. This is where the learning sticks.

03

Bring it back.

Share your work, ask the question, and get a photographer’s perspective. Join live check-ins, catch a recording, or email your instructor during the course.

New camera? Still on Auto? Finding your way back?

You’re in the right place. This course starts with the foundations and builds from there. You need a computer and a camera with Manual mode; DSLR, mirrorless, and bridge cameras are welcome.

03 / YOUR CREATIVE TOOLKIT

One camera.
So many possibilities.

Five complete courses build on each other. Start by understanding your camera. Then put it to work in the light, places, and moments that move you.

THE PEOPLE BEHIND THE PROGRESS

Someone to ask.
Someone who gets it.

A setting you can’t find. A photo you can’t quite fix. A question you think you should already know the answer to.

Bring all of it. The LPC team combines practical photography experience with a patient, personal approach to teaching. Weekly Zoom check-ins and a private student group give you a place to share the small wins and work through the sticking points.

Live check-ins: Tuesdays, 12–1 pm, and Wednesdays, 6–7 pm Mountain Time. Sessions are recorded; times may adjust to student availability.

BEFORE YOU TAKE THE SHOT

Good questions.
Clear answers.

Still wondering about something?

Talk to a real person
Is Photography In Focus right for a complete beginner?

Yes. The course starts with the foundations of using your camera and builds through practical exercises. It also suits photographers who use Auto or know some basics but want a more confident, consistent approach.

What camera and equipment do I need?

You need a computer and a camera with Manual mode. DSLR, mirrorless, and bridge cameras are all suitable. A tripod, filters, and a reflector can be useful, but you do not need to buy them to get started.

When can I start?

The next intake is September 26, 2026, when the first week’s content is released. The five core courses are paced across ten weeks, and you keep lifetime access to the lessons and course materials.

Are the lessons live or self-paced?

You can watch the course lessons at your own pace. Weekly live Zoom check-ins are offered on Tuesdays from 12–1 pm and Wednesdays from 6–7 pm Mountain Time. Check-ins are recorded and shared in the private Facebook group. Session times may adjust to student availability.

How much time should I set aside?

Plan for about 2–3 hours each week for lessons, practice with your camera, and a live check-in or recording. You can spend more time exploring, or revisit material later with your lifetime access.

Can I get help between live check-ins?

Yes. You can email your instructor during the ten-week course and share your weekly exercises in the private student community for feedback. You do not have to wait until the next live session to ask a question.

What if the course is not a fit for me?

The course has a 7-day money-back guarantee. Experience the first week’s teaching and support; if it is not a fit, contact the team for a full refund. Read the terms and conditions.

Can this be a first step toward professional photography?

Yes. In Focus teaches the foundations that support more advanced study, whether you photograph for enjoyment or are exploring professional work. It leads into the six-month Photography Mastery program, which includes projects and a certification assessment.

you came for.
